Why did transparent areas turn white?
JPG does not support transparency. We fill transparent areas with white before creating the JPG.
Why does my AVIF file fail to convert?
AVIF decoding depends on your browser and operating system. Try a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Some files may still use features your browser cannot decode.
Will an animated AVIF stay animated?
No. A JPG is a still image. This converter exports one frame rather than an animation.
Will metadata and color look exactly the same?
The browser renders the image to a canvas before saving it. Metadata is not retained, and colors can differ when converting from high dynamic range or wide gamut AVIF images. Check the JPG before using it.
